Invitations and Launch Notifications

You may leave an email address for the Resovale launch notice. It is accessed only by the site administrator for notifications and never sold or shared. It is retained for up to 12 months. Save your cancellation link after registering; cancellation removes the registration, and backup copies expire within 30 days. Repeated registration does not create another entry or change the original cancellation link.

Invitation codes do not require an email. The server stores keyed verification hashes, administrator notes, and download request counts and times. Essential secure cookies maintain download authorization for one hour and administrator sign-in for eight hours; they are not used for advertising. Request addresses are used for rate limiting, and rate-limit records are periodically cleared.

resovale follows a local-first approach and is designed to minimize the collection of personal data.

Information We Collect

The first app release does not require an account and does not upload usage analytics by default. The website and app-download service receive standard request information needed to serve pages and the installer.

The Resovale website does not receive recordings, transcripts, or project content. Cloud AI data transfers from the app are described below.

• IP address and request time
• Requested page or app installer
• Standard network client information

Local Data Storage

Your projects, settings, and metadata are stored in the local resovale workspace you choose.

The app uses local files and JSON-based metadata to store:

• Project information
• Editing settings
• File references
• App preferences
• Short-lived local connection records created when you enable an external AI assistant

AI Processing

Local transcription and sound processing run on your Mac. Verified model and runtime components required for Mandarin Chinese transcription and echo removal are installed with the app and do not require a separate first-use download. The first native macOS release supports transcript recognition for Mandarin Chinese recordings only.

Local AI processing:

• Does not upload your recordings, transcripts, or project content.
• resovale’s local processing does not use your content to train AI models.
• Models and runtime components ship with the app, so processing does not contact a model server.

External AI Assistants

Connecting an external AI assistant is optional. Only when you connect an assistant and make a request may the selected assistant receive your prompt, transcript excerpts, and timeline metadata needed for the task.

resovale does not receive or store the assistant’s API key. The connector accesses project information under the granted tool permissions and can provide audio excerpts required for the task. Data sent to the selected assistant is handled by that service under its account settings, terms, and privacy practices.

Connection requests and results are stored only briefly in resovale’s Application Support directory on the current Mac. The app clears them after completion, cancellation, or timeout and automatically removes abnormal leftovers.

Built-in Cloud AI

Built-in AI can connect to third-party model providers you configure. Cloud tasks send relevant prompts, transcripts, and project summaries to the selected provider; audio analysis also sends selected excerpts. You manage the account, usage, and charges directly with the provider. Review provider settings and permissions before processing sensitive recordings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

The Resovale website does not receive your recordings. Cloud AI and external assistants receive data according to the service and permissions you select, including audio excerpts for audio analysis. Third-party retention and training policies depend on their terms and account settings.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the website, installer, and app.

However, no digital storage system can guarantee complete security.

Your Control

You can delete your local project files at any time.

You remain responsible for managing backups of important content.
